Situated off the coast of Kenya, Lamu Island has a more relaxed and leisurely way of life. Donkeys and vintage dhow boats are the main means of transportation because there are neither automobiles nor roads. Its inhabitants are a fascinating blend of Indian, Arab, and African cultures.
